One of our centre’s objectives is to promote cooperation in the study of history and traditions among member countries and the development of a
greater regional identity through research, human resource development, education and public awareness programme. To achieve this objective, the
center organized a talk on “In Search of Southeast Asia (Southeast Asia: Past and Present) in 2019, December 18. Professor U Tun Aung Chain, Retired Director, SEAMEO CHAT; member, National Committee of Education Policy and Daw Carole Ann Chit Tha, Retired Deputy Director, SEAMEO CHAT acted as lecturers. 65 participants attended.
